How we write our questions.
Where the questions come from, how we check them, what we leave out and what happens when we get one wrong.
The short version. Every question is written by us. None comes from a real exam. Each one lists the references it was built from, goes through a fact-check and an edit for how the question is put together, and has to pass automated checks before it can ship. We do not promise that you will pass.
How a question is made
- Written from a study mapWe split each exam into subjects (10 for DHA, 7 for EMREE) and decide how many questions each needs. This map is our own. It is not the official DHA or EMREE blueprint, and we say so wherever it appears.
- Fact-checked against named referencesEach question lists the guideline, standard text or reference it was built from. A second pass checks the stem, the correct answer and every wrong option against those references.
- Edited for test craftOne best answer, four options, wrong options that a prepared candidate could still pick, no "all of the above", and no clue in the length or wording of the right answer.
- Checked by the buildAutomated tests fail the build if a question has a duplicate or near-duplicate stem, a missing rationale, a giveaway answer length, or if correct answers cluster in one position.
Every question also explains why the right answer is right and why each other option is wrong, so a miss teaches you something.
What we do not do
Exam content
- We do not use real or leaked exam questions, and we do not ask you to share them.
- We do not claim our questions match the real exam.
Promises
- We do not promise a pass, a score or a result.
- Our readiness indicator is a guide based on your practice. It is not a prediction.
Official status
- We are not affiliated with the DHA, Prometric, UAE University or NIHS.
- Exam facts we cannot confirm are labelled "reported".
Who is behind Meddex
Meddex is run from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach a person at hello@meddex.cc or through the contact form. We aim to reply within one working day.
Our clinical review team is being announced. We will name each reviewer, with their profession and credentials, once they have agreed to it. Until then we do not claim a clinical sign-off we cannot show you.
Named authors and editors will appear here when they are confirmed. If you spot a mistake, write to hello@meddex.cc.
How AI is used. We use AI tools to help draft and cross-check material. A tool is never treated as a source. The facts are checked against the references listed on each question.
Clinical review. A full review of the question bank by named, licensed clinicians has not been completed yet. Treat explanations as study aids, and check anything that affects patient care against current official guidance.
When we get something wrong
Questions can contain mistakes, and clinical guidance changes. If you think an answer, explanation or exam fact is wrong, write to hello@meddex.cc or use the contact form and choose "Question or content feedback". Include the question text or its page.
We check the reference, fix confirmed errors and add them to the corrections log with the date and what changed.
How often content is updated
Exam guides and checklists show the date they were last checked. When an official source changes, we update the page and the date. The full set of rules we follow is in our editorial standards.
