Short answer: A six-week DHA exam plan for nurses starts with a baseline quiz, then two weeks of domain practice, one week on medication safety and calculations, one week of weak-area repair with a first mock, and a final week with a second mock and light review. Plan around 150 questions in 3 hours as a mock format.
The six weeks
Six weeks is tight but workable if you have recent clinical practice. Spread it around your roster.
- Week 1: a mixed baseline of 40 to 60 questions, then set your exam date.
- Weeks 2 and 3: domain practice in Tutor mode, weakest domains first.
- Week 4: medication safety and dosage calculations every day.
- Week 5: weak-area repair and your first full-length timed mock.
- Week 6: a second mock, flagged questions and a light final two days.
Fitting it around shifts
On shift days, do 10 to 20 questions in the first half hour after you get home. On days off, do one longer timed set. After a night shift, sleep first and study later, because tired review does not stick.
Calculations in week four
Practise a handful of dose, drops-per-minute and mL-per-hour questions each day until the method is automatic. Write the formula first, then the numbers, then check that the answer is clinically sensible.
Two mocks are enough
In a six-week plan, two full-length mocks give you a pacing check and a second chance to fix what the first showed. Review each by domain, and treat any domain well below your average as the next day's work.
