DHA exam for allied health.
How DHA lists allied health titles, example rows, how to find yours, and an honest note on what Meddex does not cover.
Short answer: DHA's CBT Guideline (Updated Sep 2026) lists 47 allied health titles, including the pharmacist titles. Pass scores run from 50 to 70 percent and question counts from 70 to 150. Most are 150 questions in 3 hours. Find your exact title in the guideline, because every figure belongs to the title.

How DHA lists allied health
Allied health is one category in the guideline, but it holds 47 different titles. Each has its own code, number of questions, stated time and pass score. Technician and technologist titles are listed separately from the professional titles, so check which one you hold, because a technologist and a technician can have different pass scores.
DHA says the stated time includes registration, process introduction and exam content. It reports pass or fail only. It can change the content, the format or the pass score without updating the guideline. Titles that are not in the guideline are assessed orally instead.

The table shows ten examples to show the range. It is not a list of the best-known professions, and it is not complete. The full list is on the page with every title.

Official content areas: one example
For most allied titles the guideline gives a list of coverage headings with no weights, and some titles may list none. The Physiotherapist list has 10 headings: Kinesiology/Biomechanics/Ergonomics, Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Decision Making and Differential Diagnosis, Physical agents, Therapeutic Exercises and Techniques, Physical Therapy in Special Population, Cardiopulmonary, Sports, Neurorehabilitation, Musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Read the entry for your own title in the current guideline, and note that the Pharmacy Technician has its own list on the pharmacists page.
How to find your title and its requirements
Four steps, all on DHA's own documents.
- Open the current CBT Guideline and find your profession in the Allied Healthcare section. Use the code, not only the name.
- Check the PQR chapter on allied healthcare professionals, which has a page for each profession with the qualification and experience that DHA asks for. Use the free Sheryan Self-Assessment Tool to see what DHA says about your own qualifications.
- If DHA does not list your title or qualification, the Sheryan FAQ says to choose the closest title in the Self-Assessment Tool and that DHA's credentialing team will select the suitable title.
- Check the mode of exam for your title in Sheryan. If the guideline does not list it, it is an oral assessment, which this page does not cover.
What Meddex covers today
Meddex does not have material for individual allied health titles. It has 79 questions tagged for allied health, and every one is from the shared clinical core that all professions see, such as patient safety, infection control, emergencies, pharmacology basics and ethics. There are no questions written for physiotherapy, radiography, laboratory science or any other allied title, and no flashcards or mocks for them. Counts come from the question bank when the site is built.
Full-length mocks are not offered for this role yet. They need a bank large enough to fill a 150-question paper with questions written for the profession, and the bank is not there yet. If you are a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, see the pharmacists page, which has the profession subjects that exist. For any other allied title, use DHA's own content list and references. The free assessment still gives you ten mixed questions on the shared topics.
If you use the shared topics
The shared topics are worth a few weeks for any clinician: recognising a deteriorating patient, infection control, consent and confidentiality, and medication basics. Do not treat them as a substitute for your own specialty content. DHA does not say what share of your exam is shared content. A longer guide covers a simple split and some habits, with the caution that we cannot give DHA's split.
