Meddex DHA licensing checklist. An independent guide, not official. Confirm every item against the DHA requirements for your title.
Steps in order
Estimated timeline
| Stage | Typical time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gather and scan documents | Days to a few weeks | Depends on how quickly your university, employer and regulator reply to you. Start with the slowest document, usually the good standing certificate. |
| Sheryan account and self-assessment | About an hour | Do this first. It tells you which title and assessment route apply to you. |
| DataFlow verification | Weeks | DataFlow guidance has described 20 to 30 days, and candidate guides often report 30 to 45 working days. Errors or missing papers make it longer. |
| Exam eligibility and booking | Days to weeks | You book on Prometric once DHA shows you as eligible. Slots depend on the centre, and you can reschedule or cancel up to five calendar days before. |
| Exam and result | One day, then a short wait | DHA's Assessment Manual says results are uploaded to Sheryan within 2 working days, while the Sheryan FAQ says Prometric results are shared instantly. Both are DHA statements and they disagree, so check your own account. |
| Application, fees and DHA review | Days to weeks | DHA publishes a target processing time on its service page. Check the current figure in Sheryan. |
| Registration and facility activation | Depends on your employer | Your facility activates the registration into a licence before you can practise. |
Notes
- The good standing certificate must be dated within six months of your submission, and it comes from the authority that issued your licence.
- DHA asks for original documents and a certified translation for anything not in English or Arabic.
- DHA limits the total number of assessment attempts, so prepare properly before you book.
- Fees change. Check the current figures in Sheryan and on the DataFlow and Prometric sites, not on a forum. Where DHA prints the exam fee is explained on where to confirm the DHA exam fee.
- For tips on names, experience letters, scans and translations, read how to prepare and scan your DHA licence documents. This checklist is the short version to tick off.
- For a longer explanation of each step, read the DHA exam guide.
