DHA exam centres and booking from abroad.
What DHA says about where you can sit the exam, how to book from abroad, and what it does not list.
Short answer: DHA says you may sit its computer-based exam at any Prometric centre across the globe. It does not list countries or centres, and Prometric's DHA page blocked our scripted access, so we could not read it. Use your Sheryan Eligibility ID on the Prometric page to see centres. Passport and 30-minute arrival rules apply everywhere.
What DHA says
The Sheryan FAQ says DHA runs its computer-based tests through Prometric and that "Professionals may attend the assessment in any Prometric centers across the globe." The Manual for DHA Professional Assessment says the exam is booked on Prometric's DHA site and that Prometric staff run the check-in.
DHA does not name countries or cities. It does not say that every Prometric centre offers DHA exams, so the safe reading is that the Prometric booking page decides what you can choose, and we could not open that page.
Not stated by DHA in the documents we read
- Which countries or cities have a Prometric centre that offers DHA exams.
- Which countries Prometric cannot serve for DHA exams. Check the Prometric page.
- How many centres there are in your country, or how soon you can get a slot.
- Prometric's own rules for your centre, which we could not read.
Booking from outside the UAE
The steps are the same wherever you live.
- Create a Sheryan account and complete the application that leads to the exam. Sheryan gives you an Eligibility ID.
- Go to the Prometric page that DHA's FAQ links to, enter your details and use your Eligibility ID to search for a centre and a time.
- Pay online by card. DHA sets the fee and prints it in its CBT Guideline, and this page does not quote it. Prometric may also charge a centre-specific amount if you change the appointment.
- Reschedule or cancel at least five calendar days before the exam, on the Prometric site.
What to bring and what happens at check-in
Bring a valid passport. The Assessment Manual says the passport must match the details you gave at registration, and the Sheryan FAQ says the original passport or National ID is the only document required for the assessment. If your passport name does not match Sheryan, contact DHA at least five days before the exam.
Arrive 30 minutes before the appointment. DHA says Prometric staff positively identify candidates, which can include showing arms and ankles, emptying pockets, a handheld metal detector scan and image capture. Where fingerprint scanners are used, you are asked to sanitise your hands first. Centres may differ in detail, so read Prometric's instructions for your centre.
Language and format
DHA says all examinations are conducted in English. The CBT Guideline says the format is Multiple Choice Questions and that the stated time includes registration and the process introduction. Read the format and pass mark for your title on the page with every title.
If your title uses an oral assessment
Some titles are assessed orally and not by computer. DHA says the oral assessment is an interview by a panel, conducted in Dubai physically or virtually as DHA decides, and that it is booked through Sheryan. The Prometric steps above do not apply to it.
